Eligibility criteria

To reserve a m!ne home you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old at the time of signing your tenancy agreement
  • Be a first-time buyer or returning to the market after a relationship breakdown
  • Not currently own another residential property
  • Be able to evidence you are working at the time of the initial letting
  • Have insufficient funds/deposit to purchase a property on the open market
  • Have the ‘Right to Rent’ in the UK (as defined by government guidelines)
  • Not be in receipt of Housing Benefit or Universal Credit (housing element) payments at the point of signing your tenancy agreement
  • Not have any outstanding credit issues and be able to pass a m!ne credit check

Historically a mining village located near the Sherburn Hill Colliery, which operated from 1835-1965, Sherburn Hill is a small village in County Durham, surrounded by stunning countryside.
